Position Summary
The Radiology Tech Assistant - South Computed Tomography - Full Time Day Shift at Coxhealth in Springfield, MO provides essential hands-on assistance within the computed tomography suite. You will help maintain seamless workflow so that technologists can focus on performing high-quality scans while patients receive attentive care throughout their visits. This position combines direct patient interaction with practical operational support in a busy clinical environment focused on South Computed Tomography services.
What You'll Do
- Prepare examination rooms and assist patients with gowning, history review, and positioning prior to CT procedures
- Transport ambulatory and limited-mobility patients safely to and from the South Computed Tomography area
- Clean and restock CT rooms, manage linen, and ensure equipment readiness between cases
- Help technologists with minor accessory tasks such as contrast setup preparation under direct supervision
- Perform basic clerical duties including updating status boards, filing, and retrieving patient documents
- Monitor patient comfort and report any concerns promptly to the licensed technologist or nursing staff
- Maintain organized supply inventories and report shortages so the department operates without interruption
