In the CT Technologist - South Computed Tomography - Full Time Evening Shift position at Coxhealth in Springfield, Missouri, you manage evening-shift imaging workflows within the South Computed Tomography area. The work combines technical operation of CT systems with attentive patient support to generate clear diagnostic studies while upholding safety and quality standards every shift.

What You'll Do

• Review physician orders and prepare the CT suite for each examination during full-time evening hours
• Educate patients about the CT process, screen for contraindications, and position them correctly for accurate image capture
• Select scan parameters and operate computed tomography equipment to produce diagnostic-quality cross-sectional images
• Administer contrast media under protocol when required and observe patients for any reactions
• Apply radiation-protection practices to minimize exposure for patients and colleagues
• Perform routine equipment checks, clean the workspace, and report any issues affecting the South Computed Tomography service
• Record examination details accurately and collaborate with radiologists on image quality and procedural notes
• Maintain workflow efficiency so the evening team can handle scheduled and add-on cases smoothly

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography or equivalent recognized credential for CT Technologist practice
• Current radiologic technologist license or registration as required for work in Missouri
• Demonstrated skill operating CT scanners and applying standard imaging protocols
• Solid knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation safety principles
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and clinical partners and provide calm, professional care
• Readiness to fulfill a full-time evening shift schedule within the South Computed Tomography unit at Coxhealth
• Basic Life Support certification
