Role Overview

As Director, Airfield & Facilities Maintenance at Columbusairports in Columbus, Ohio, you will provide strategic oversight for all airfield surfaces and supporting facilities. The focus is on sustaining peak condition of runways, ramps, buildings, utilities, and grounds through proactive planning, resource stewardship, and rigorous attention to operational continuity. Core Duties

• Establish and refine multi-year maintenance programs covering pavement, lighting, drainage, buildings, and mechanical systems
• Direct and develop teams of supervisors and technicians to execute daily and capital work plans efficiently
• Manage departmental budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement of specialized equipment and materials
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and external agencies to schedule activities that minimize disruption
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems to reduce unplanned downtime
• Ensure full adherence to applicable safety, environmental, and industry regulatory frameworks
• Conduct performance reviews of maintenance metrics and drive continuous process improvements
• Prepare reports and briefings for senior leadership on facility condition, risks, and resource needs
