About the Role
As a Racial Justice Community Advocate, you will join ACLUM's Racial Justice Program team and serve as a vital link between the organization and the communities it serves. This on-site Boston position centers on public education, community engagement, and growing a stronger statewide network of advocates committed to racial justice and equal protection under the law.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate the public about ACLUM's priority issue areas, with a particular focus on racial justice in Massachusetts.
- Build, nurture, and mobilize a network of community advocates and supporters.
- Advance the organization's broader efforts to protect and promote civil rights and civil liberties statewide.
- Collaborate with the Racial Justice Program team to support outreach, organizing, and advocacy goals.
- Foster meaningful relationships with community members, partner organizations, and local stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A genuine commitment to racial justice, civil rights, and civil liberties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to public education and community engagement.
- Experience in community organizing, advocacy, or outreach is highly valued.
