Join Gpac as an Estimator for Commercial Construction in Nashville, Davidson County. We're seeking an experienced estimator to deliver accurate, competitive bids and support our growing team of builders serving the Nashville area.
About the Role
This is a full-time position with a leading commercial general contractor recognized for quality execution and long-term project success. You'll play a critical role in our bidding process, translating project requirements into detailed cost assessments that keep us competitive while protecting project profitability.
What You'll Do
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects across multiple sectors, including healthcare facilities and complex builds
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to identify material, labor, and equipment requirements
- Analyze project scope, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate bid pricing
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing data and refine estimates
- Track historical project costs and performance metrics to improve estimation accuracy over time
- Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to support pursuit strategy and bid development
- Maintain estimating databases and documentation for ongoing reference and analysis
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a commercial construction estimator with a portfolio of successfully bid projects
- Strong proficiency with takeoff and estimating software, as well as Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and industry standards relevant to commercial builds
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and strong mathematical skills for complex calculations
- Communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and with external partners
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in construction management or related field a plus
