Quality Specialist, Heavy Civil – Northwest District

Join Kiewit as a Quality Specialist for heavy civil construction in the Northwest District, based in Hornbrook, Siskiyou County. This full-time opportunity allows you to take ownership of quality standards across transportation infrastructure projects, working closely with the Quality Manager and field teams to ensure excellence.

About the Role

As a Quality Specialist, you'll manage the Project Quality Plan and ensure that construction teams understand and follow all required specifications, procedures, and quality benchmarks throughout project delivery. Your work will be essential to maintaining compliance, preventing rework, and supporting successful project outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Oversee implementation of the Project Quality Plan and related quality procedures
• Conduct field inspections and testing to verify compliance with project specifications
• Communicate quality standards and requirements to project teams and subcontractors
• Document inspection results, test data, and corrective actions with attention to detail
• Identify quality issues and collaborate with teams to develop and implement solutions
• Maintain comprehensive quality records and prepare reports for project stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Experience in quality control, quality assurance, or related roles in heavy civil construction
• Strong knowledge of construction specifications, testing methods, and industry standards
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to accuracy in all work
• Familiarity with construction quality management systems and digital documentation
• Valid driver's license and comfort working in active construction field environments
