About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their technology team in India. Our client operates a complex technology ecosystem spanning internal origination, underwriting, servicing, and portfolio management systems, as well as customer- and dealer-facing portals. This is an excellent opportunity for a QA professional who wants to work at the intersection of manual testing, automation, and emerging AI-assisted testing techniques.

As an embedded member of an Agile Scrum team, you'll help ensure quality is built into the development lifecycle from the start, working across both legacy and modern platforms. Our client values engineers who bring a builder mindset and eagerness to experiment with AI-driven testing tools for test generation, self-healing automation, and intelligent defect analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing on web applications across internal systems and customer-facing portals
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases and automated test scripts to validate functionality across legacy and current platforms
• Analyze test data and results to identify defects, isolate root cause, and document technical issues for engineering teams
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to reproduce issues, clarify requirements, and validate fixes
• Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, story review, and retrospectives
• Develop and extend automated test coverage using established test automation frameworks
• Evaluate and apply AI-assisted testing techniques—AI-generated test cases, self-healing scripts, intelligent test prioritization—to expand coverage and reduce maintenance overhead
• Use AI-based tools to accelerate analysis of test results, logs, and failure patterns for faster root-cause identification
• Track and manage defects through bug-tracking systems with clear reproduction steps, severity, and impact assessments
• Support regression testing across releases affecting multiple application types
• Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements to workflows and tooling

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, quality assurance, engineering, or equivalent (preferred)
• 4–6 years of experience in software quality assurance, combining manual and automated testing
• Experience testing web applications across both legacy and modern platforms
• Working knowledge of a test automation framework and scripting for automated tests
• Strong aptitude and eagerness to adopt AI-assisted testing tools and techniques (AI-generated test cases, self-healing automation, AI-driven test prioritization, log/anomaly analysis)—a builder mindset and willingness to experiment matter more than prior hands-on tenure with AI-specific tooling
• Experience with bug-tracking or test-management tools
• Basic SQL skills for data validation
• Experience working within Agile Scrum teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to isolate root cause across multi-system workflows
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting defects and collaborating with distributed teams
• Experience testing applications in financial services, lending, or equipment finance (preferred)
• Exposure to API testing (preferred)
• Experience testing customer- or dealer-facing web portals (preferred)
