Proposal Coordinator

Trilongroup is seeking a talented Proposal Coordinator to join our Glen Allen, Virginia office. In this full-time position, you'll drive the capture and development of proposals, bid submissions, and marketing materials that help our civil engineering team secure meaningful projects.

About the Role

As our Proposal Coordinator, you will play a central role in converting business opportunities into successful contract wins. Working across our pursuit team, you'll orchestrate the entire proposal lifecycle—from initial strategy and content planning through final delivery. This is a pivotal position for someone who thrives on managing complex projects, coordinating diverse teams, and creating compelling materials that showcase our engineering expertise and project achievements.

Your Responsibilities

• Spearhead pursuit efforts by organizing timelines, allocating resources, and tracking deliverables to meet bid deadlines
• Author and produce proposals, technical narratives, and qualifications documents that articulate project value and team capability
• Develop polished presentations, graphics, and visual materials that communicate complex engineering concepts clearly
• Coordinate input from engineers, project managers, and business development staff to compile complete submission packages
• Ensure consistency in messaging, branding, and quality standards across all proposal-related materials
• Maintain proposal databases, templates, and historical records to streamline future capture efforts

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a proposal coordinator, capture manager, or similar business development role
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail and clarity
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities
• Strategic thinking and the ability to develop compelling narratives around project wins and team qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and graphics/design tools (PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
• Familiarity with the civil engineering or AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industries a plus
