Professional Stormwater Engineer

Trilongroup is hiring a Professional Stormwater Engineer to join our team in East Brunswick, New Jersey. This full-time position offers the opportunity to design and deliver stormwater solutions for infrastructure development, site planning, and municipal engineering projects across multiple sectors.

As a Professional Stormwater Engineer at Trilongroup, you'll work within a specialized team delivering sophisticated engineering solutions. Your projects will span land development, infrastructure planning, environmental regulatory support, and construction coordination, all while providing the focused expertise our clients rely on.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and analyze stormwater management systems for land development and infrastructure projects
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and permitting documentation for municipal and state regulatory agencies
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate stormwater impacts and mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with civil engineers, environmental specialists, and construction teams across multi-disciplinary projects
• Apply New Jersey stormwater design standards and federal compliance requirements to project deliverables
• Support environmental permitting processes and serve as liaison with regulatory agencies

Who We're Looking For

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey, or demonstrated ability to obtain one
• Proven background in stormwater engineering, hydrology, or civil engineering disciplines
• Hands-on proficiency with CAD software and stormwater modeling applications
• Working knowledge of New Jersey stormwater regulations, NJDEP requirements, and municipal design standards
• Strong technical writing and clear communication skills
• Collaborative mindset with genuine interest in both independent problem-solving and team contribution
