Project Manager Owner Engineering Italy

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Project Manager Owner's Engineering to join their growing team in Italy. Our client is a technical leader in the renewables sector, and this role offers the chance to work on complex energy projects while advancing your career with a well-established organization.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

• Support and coordinate detailed engineering reviews to ensure compliance with permitting requirements and construction activities
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to verify that detailed engineering and construction activities align with contractor agreements
• Supervise remote and on-site teams, ensuring the quality of information delivered to project owners
• Validate and certify contractor-provided information on project progress, construction milestones, and invoicing
• Promote compliance with relevant policies, regulations, procedures, and standards in Italy
• Provide technical support for contractual claims and change order management
• Participate in accident and incident investigations
• Review and validate results from critical activities including FATs, SATs, mechanical completion, commissioning, and performance testing

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 4+ years of experience as a Construction PM, Owner's Engineering PM, or Development and Execution PM in renewable energy projects
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, construction project management software, and document management systems
• Strong understanding of contractual aspects affecting project construction, commissioning, and acceptance
• Knowledge of typical project team configurations and the ability to coordinate with technical experts including civil supervisors, electrical supervisors, HSE specialists, Direttore Lavori, CSE, and contractor staff
• Leadership and project management skills with the ability to coordinate internal and external teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Italian mother tongue or proficiency; fluent English required; Spanish is a plus
• Experience in detailed design review (preferred)
• Background in asset management, commissioning, or O&M (preferred)
• Experience writing technical specifications and managing EPC/O&M tenders (preferred)
