Project Leadership – Biotech (clinical trials) – Oncology – Home Based – (Future Needs)

Parexel is hiring a Project Leadership professional to oversee biotech clinical trial programs within our Oncology division. This full-time position is based in Five Points, Wake County and plays a central role in managing complex research initiatives from planning through completion, directly impacting the development of new cancer therapies.

About the Role

You'll direct clinical trial programs across the full lifecycle, leading cross-functional teams and managing the intricate relationships between sponsors, clinical sites, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders. Your project leadership will encompass budget oversight, timeline management, risk mitigation, and compliance execution—ensuring each oncology program meets quality standards and delivers measurable value to our biotech partners and their patients.

What You'll Do

• Oversee end-to-end execution of oncology clinical trial programs within defined timelines and budgets
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams across internal and external partners
• Manage regulatory submissions, compliance requirements, and FDA milestone tracking
• Develop project plans, resource schedules, and risk management strategies
• Monitor program progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures
• Maintain transparent communication with clients, sponsors, and senior leadership on program status and outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated project or program management experience within biotech, clinical research, or pharmaceutical settings
• Strong background in oncology clinical trial design, conduct, or oversight
• Proficiency with regulatory frameworks including FDA regulations and ICH-GCP guidelines
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and influence across organizations
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and complex timelines
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving capabilities
