As a Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General, you'll be the backbone of store operations, balancing hands-on sales support with key leadership responsibilities. What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of sales associates on the floor and at checkout
• Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers, answering product questions, and building loyalty
• Manage the sales floor, keeping merchandise organized, stocked, and displayed attractively
• Process transactions at the register with accuracy and efficiency
• Handle cash drawer reconciliation and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
• Conduct opening and closing procedures, including floor inspections and security checks
• Train new and current associates on customer service standards and store protocols
• Monitor inventory levels and report stock needs to management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant store environment
• Collaborate with store management to achieve sales targets and store goals

What We're Looking For

• Proven retail experience with demonstrated success in customer service or sales
• Natural leadership ability with the confidence to guide and motivate a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse customers
• Basic math and cash handling experience
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and stay organized
• Willingness to support store operations and flexibility to cover shifts as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 50 pounds
