Dollar General is hiring a Store Manager Candidate in Leonardtown, Maryland to lead store operations and develop into a management role. This full-time position offers the opportunity to grow your retail leadership career in a fast-paced, community-focused retail environment.

About the Role

As a Store Manager Candidate, you'll be at the heart of our Leonardtown store's success. You'll take on increasing responsibility for daily operations, customer service excellence, and team development while working toward a management position. This role provides hands-on experience across all aspects of store management in one of our St. Mary's County locations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols
• Build and mentor a capable team through coaching, scheduling, and performance feedback
• Drive sales and operational targets through merchandising, inventory accuracy, and customer engagement
• Ensure store cleanliness, safety compliance, and a welcoming shopping environment
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and product replenishment
• Resolve customer concerns and maintain positive community relationships
• Collaborate with district management on performance improvement and store initiatives
