Programmeur(euse) junior BackEnd C# / .NET Core

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology services organization seeking a junior backend developer to join their distributed team in Canada. You will contribute to backend development, bug fixes, testing, and technical documentation under the guidance of senior developers.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Developing backend services in C# /.NET Core with supervision from experienced team members
• Identifying and correcting backend application defects
• Building or integrating REST APIs into existing systems
• Participating in unit testing and integration testing efforts
• Supporting application maintenance activities
• Contributing to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
• Following established development standards and best practices
• Collaborating closely with senior developers, analysts, and architects

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking candidates with 2 to 8 years of experience in information technology who demonstrate strong learning ability and technical aptitude.

Required skills and experience:

• Hands-on development experience with C# and.NET Core
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and database fundamentals
• Interest in cloud environments and DevOps practices
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in team settings
• Attention to detail in testing, documentation, and code quality
• Experience with Git or equivalent version control systems
• Understanding of unit testing and integration testing methodologies
• Familiarity with backend development best practices

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Azure API Management and Azure Service Bus
• Exposure to Cosmos DB, SQL Server, or NoSQL databases
• Understanding of microservices architecture concepts
• Experience working in Agile environments

This role is primarily remote with flexible scheduling. The position is based in Canada and may be structured as a contract or resource pool arrangement depending on client needs.
