Product Manager — PriorAuth

PrescriberPoint is hiring a full-time Product Manager for PriorAuth, our AI-driven platform automating prior authorization and clinical case management, for remote-based candidates throughout the United States.

What This Role Involves

You'll lead product strategy and execution for PriorAuth, transforming how healthcare professionals handle prior authorization and case management. Your mission: shift these workflows from manual processes to AI-enabled experiences that healthcare teams trust. You'll collaborate across engineering, design, clinical specialists, and AI teams to deliver automation that maintains safety and compliance while eliminating friction.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Define and drive PriorAuth's roadmap in partnership with engineering and leadership, grounded in provider workflows and clinical needs
• Write and ship production code alongside engineers using modern AI tools, Python, JavaScript, and LLM evaluation frameworks
• Establish product metrics, instrument analytics, and query data directly (SQL or equivalent) to guide scaling priorities
• Operationalize AI and machine learning workflows with data science teams—defining confidence thresholds, error handling, fallback patterns, and evaluation criteria
• Research clinical workflows—prior authorization submissions, eligibility verification, documentation requirements, pharmacy processes, and EMR integration patterns
• Design and execute product experiments, translating results into product decisions
• Collaborate with engineers on healthcare integrations: HL7, FHIR APIs, ePA systems, EHR connectivity, and standards like TEFCA and QHIN
• Own compliance and safety: validate HIPAA requirements, design access controls, and ensure audit logging for AI-assisted clinical decisions

What You Bring

• 3+ years shipping products as a PM in healthcare tech, SaaS, or B2B professional tools
• Hands-on development: write and ship production code (Python, JavaScript, or equivalent); strong knowledge of modern AI tools, LLM frameworks, and evaluation methods
• Product analytics expertise: define metrics, query databases with SQL or comparable tools, and translate data into roadmap priorities
• User-centered thinking—proven ability to convert clinical workflows into intuitive, trustworthy product experiences
• Track record shipping in agile, cross-functional teams in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, or similar)
• Understanding of prior authorization workflows, clinical case management, pharmacy operations, and EMR integration
• Working knowledge of healthcare compliance (HIPAA), clinical data standards (FHIR, HL7 v2), and EHR integration patterns like Epic SMART on FHIR
• Experience with AI/ML products—conversational interfaces, automation platforms, or clinical decision support—including prompt engineering, model evaluation, and human-in-the-loop design
• Strong communication: translate technical and healthcare concepts for business and clinical audiences
