Product Engineer, Internal Tools – LATAM

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded Series C SaaS company in their search for a Product Engineer, Internal Tools based in LATAM. Our client operates a high-growth platform serving tens of thousands of users and has achieved significant scale with backing from top-tier venture capital firms.

This is a Staff or Senior-level role focused on building and scaling internal tooling that powers operational teams across the organization. You'll be the technical partner to Customer Success, Sales, Onboarding, and Engineering—designing systems that multiply their effectiveness and eliminate friction.

Our client has embraced AI-native development practices. Engineers use AI agents and tools daily to write, review, and ship production code at exceptional velocity. This role requires a developer who thrives in that environment and can leverage AI workflows to deliver outsized impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal product development by partnering with cross-functional teams to identify operational bottlenecks and design high-leverage tools
• Own and architect the internal tool ecosystem across the full stack, including React frontends, NestJS backends, and complex data integrations
• Integrate AI tools natively into your development workflow to accelerate delivery and turn complex requirements into production software rapidly
• Take end-to-end ownership of open-ended business challenges, acting as both product manager and lead engineer for internal tools
• Build and maintain integrations with CRM systems, data warehouses, and communication platforms
• Design robust GraphQL APIs using code-first resolvers and scalable backend services
• Work within a modern DevOps environment using feature flags, rigorous testing, and observability tools

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• Extensive experience as a Senior or Staff-level full-stack engineer in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Strong experience building scalable backend services with NestJS (preferred) or similar frameworks
• Proven ability designing GraphQL APIs with code-first resolvers
• Strong database fundamentals using ORMs (Sequelize preferred) over PostgreSQL
• Experience writing integration tests against real databases
• Proficiency with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants

Technical Stack:

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Apollo Client, Vite, Vitest, Playwright
• Backend: Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, GraphQL
• Data: PostgreSQL, Sequelize, Bull/Redis for background jobs
• Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Datadog
