Remote AI Systems & Automation Engineer (Internal Operations) (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential hospitality technology organization seeking a Remote AI Systems & Automation Engineer to join their expanding European team. Our client has built a successful platform serving thousands of customers globally and is now investing heavily in internal AI capabilities to scale their operations efficiently.

This is a fully remote position for candidates based in Germany, working within European time zones (UTC+0 to UTC+2). You will have genuine ownership over high-impact automation projects that directly support Customer Success, Sales, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Customer Success, Sales, and Operations teams to identify manual workflows and design high-ROI AI automation solutions
• Build production-grade AI agents and integrations using Python or TypeScript, connecting LLM APIs to internal data stores and third-party SaaS platforms
• Implement modern agent standards using frameworks such as Agent Skills, Claude Plugins, Model Context Protocol, or custom function-calling pipelines
• Design human-in-the-loop workflows with strict guardrails, schema validation, approval gates, and escalation paths for safe AI supervision
• Manage API integrations including rate limits, webhooks, asynchronous jobs, and retry logic to ensure reliability as data volume scales
• Build evaluation systems to track agent accuracy, hallucination rates, latency, and cost, optimizing architectures based on production metrics
• Bridge core data platforms with GTM stack tools, establishing practical patterns for agentic automation across the business

What We're Looking For

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
• Experience with asynchronous execution, REST APIs, webhooks, SQL, and relational or analytical databases
• Deep hands-on expertise with Claude (Anthropic API, prompt engineering, Workbench, SDKs) and the modern LLM ecosystem
• Familiarity with agent capability frameworks such as Agent Skills, Claude Plugins, Model Context Protocol, or structured tool execution design
• Experience integrating complex SaaS APIs; proficiency with workspace and knowledge management tools is a strong plus
• Business-minded approach with genuine interest in understanding non-technical colleagues' workflows and building practical solutions
• Fluent English communication skills
• Based in Germany within European time zones (UTC+0 to UTC+2)

Pay

Compensation for this position ranges from €85,000 to €95,000 annually, paid through our client organization upon successful placement.
