Product Designer II

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization that's transforming construction and real estate finance. They serve major financial institutions managing billions in capital flows, and their design challenges are genuinely complex: creating interfaces where clarity, accuracy, and trust are requirements, not nice-to-haves.

We're seeking a Product Designer II ready to own meaningful design problems independently. This is a role for a designer who has built a solid foundation and is prepared to drive design decisions with greater autonomy across features and product areas of growing complexity.

Responsibilities

• Own design execution for features and workflows from discovery through delivery, including draw management, budget tracking, and compliance interfaces used by lenders and borrowers
• Lead user research activities including customer interviews, usability tests, and synthesis sessions with lenders, owners, contractors, and inspectors
• Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups—choosing appropriate fidelity for each design question
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure designs are feasible, well-understood, and implemented with fidelity to intent
• Contribute to and maintain the design system, identifying opportunities to improve shared components and patterns
• Articulate design decisions and trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders, framing rationale in terms of user needs and business outcomes
• Incorporate data and behavioral insights to validate and iterate on solutions
• Support more junior designers through informal feedback and collaboration
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, quality, and speed of your work; share effective AI use cases with the team

What We're Looking For

• 2–4+ years of experience in product or UX design within a SaaS or digital product environment
• Strong proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools—you work efficiently at multiple fidelity levels
• Demonstrated ability to handle end-to-end design for product features independently, from research and problem framing through execution and QA
• Solid understanding of UX research methods and when to apply them—you know the difference between generative and evaluative research and can lead both
• A portfolio showing thoughtful problem-framing and well-executed design solutions that reflect how you think, not just final output
• Clear and confident communicator who can present work, defend decisions, and incorporate feedback constructively
• Attention to accessibility and inclusive design best practices is a meaningful plus
• Ability to develop domain knowledge in construction finance workflows

Success at Six Months: You'll independently own design for at least one feature area with shipped experiences reflecting your design intent. Product partners will treat you as a reliable, proactive design partner. You'll have led user research sessions with real customers and contributed meaningfully to the design system while developing genuine depth in the problem domain.

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $100,000 - $125,000 USD per year. This client also offers equity in the form of stock options, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, unlimited PTO, learning grants for professional development, and 401k with match.

Location: USA-based, with travel to Nashville required at least twice per year for company gatherings. Additional travel may be required based on business needs.
