Principal Technical Architect

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Principal Technical Architect to join their remote team. In this role, you will:

• Apply abstract reuse patterns to integrations and code both on-platform and across supported languages
• Provide technical leadership for medium to large financial institutions when building integrations into cloud-based platforms
• Co-lead integrations from third-party systems using appropriate technical solutions for each unique project
• Document processes and procedures to streamline integration methodology
• Build and document testing requirements for complex projects
• Provide solution and integration development including requirements, functional specs, design, custom development, integration, testing and deployment
• Evaluate vendor API and interface specifications
• Handle multiple projects effectively while delivering exceptional quality
• Translate customer requirements into implementation plans
• Design solutions that meet customer needs and drive success
• Leverage AI/ML capabilities to enhance integration frameworks, solution design, system automation, and operational efficiency
• Support responsible use of AI-driven approaches in cloud-based solutions, DevOps practices, and enterprise architecture
• Assist sales and engineering teams on technical prospect calls when required

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's/Advanced degree; or equivalent work experience
• Ability to design, build, articulate and defend architectural designs, primarily around integrations and UI components
• Experience supporting DevOps processes and building solutions with various software development practices
• Strong ability to apply engineering principles to code, flow, and integration patterns
• Experience documenting complex solutions and customer-facing documentation
• Salesforce Dev401 certification
• Strong research, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of data management, SQL and RDBMS technologies
• Experience using ETL/integration platforms
• Financial Services industry experience
• Experience with developer toolkits, migration tools, and web services
• Excellent understanding of object-oriented concepts, design patterns, and object-oriented languages

Desired qualifications:

• Large financial institution experience, particularly with Loan Origination/Servicing Systems
• Enterprise Architecture framework experience
• Informatica experience
• Experience with Apex, SOQL, XML, JavaScript
• Salesforce System Architect certification
• Proficiency in object-oriented languages such as Java, Ruby, C#, C++
• Experience with ETL/integration platforms such as Cast Iron, Informatica, SnapLogic
• Strong presentation and communication skills

This position may require some travel.
