Principal Program Manager (f/m/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in Germany that is executing a strategic cross-company initiative with their parent banking group. This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-impact program at the intersection of modern API infrastructure and traditional securities services.

As Principal Program Manager, you will serve as the central coordination point for a critical joint offering between two complementary organizations. You will bring clarity to complexity, align stakeholders across multiple entities, and drive execution across commercial, product, and governance workstreams. This role requires someone who can navigate ambiguity, build bridges across organizational boundaries, and maintain momentum on what matters most.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end coordination of a strategic cross-company program involving multiple organizational stakeholders
• Shape how complementary offerings integrate into a compelling joint proposition for shared customers
• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, legal, and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution across the value chain
• Act as the connective layer across teams and senior leadership, ensuring priorities, decisions, risks, and dependencies remain transparent and actively managed
• Work directly with C-level stakeholders to maintain program momentum and escalate critical issues
• Identify strategic risks and opportunities early, connecting dots across domains to proactively steer the program
• Translate complex discussions into clear recommendations, concrete next steps, and actionable decisions
• Drive follow-through and enable effective communication across teams, building bridges between organizations and functions
• Partner with commercial teams to support business development efforts for the joint offering

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in program management, strategic project leadership, or change delivery within complex financial services environments
• Direct background in securities services, custody, brokerage, wealth management, asset management, or adjacent financial infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to navigate regulated environments and cross-functional dependencies involving multiple senior stakeholders
• Capacity to quickly absorb complex context, structure ambiguity, and convert it into practical action
• Proactive mindset that goes beyond status tracking—you bring judgment, anticipate what matters, and actively steer topics before they become problems
• Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution discipline and clear drive to make progress
• Patient, thoughtful communication skills with ability to build trust and create alignment across organizational boundaries and seniority levels
• Expertise in facilitating communication across diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring the right context reaches the right people
• Strong commercial instincts and understanding of how product, execution, and business development interact in strategic initiatives
• Fluency in both German and English (required)

Location and Work Arrangement
