Head of Finance & Data (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a Head of Finance & Data to lead both financial stewardship and data infrastructure development. In this dual-focused leadership role, you will build the analytical foundation for sustainable growth.

Your responsibilities include:

• Establishing robust controlling structures and reporting frameworks with clear, forward-looking steering logic
• Taking full ownership of financial planning, reporting, and strategic financial management
• Driving the development of automated data pipelines connecting multiple business systems into a centralized data warehouse environment
• Designing and evolving dashboards and BI tools to create a unified view where finance KPIs and operational data converge seamlessly
• Building scalable, efficient processes across both finance and data domains that support organizational growth
• Serving as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership on all finance and data matters

What We're Looking For

Our client values candidates who bring strong fundamentals even if every requirement isn't met perfectly. The ideal professional will demonstrate:

• Several years of solid finance experience with a strong controlling background
• Proven multi-year experience building or operating data infrastructure (data warehouses, ETL pipelines, BI tools) with understanding of modern, scalable data architecture
• Ideally, experience working in dynamic e-commerce or consumer-facing environments
• A structured, reliable, and pragmatic hands-on mentality
• Self-motivation, solution-oriented thinking, and genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning
• Native-level fluency in German for business communication
