Principal, Business Operations – Pro

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Principal, Business Operations professional to support their trading products division. This is a high-impact role working directly with senior leadership to drive operational excellence, cross-functional alignment, and strategic initiatives across spot trading, margin, derivatives, and infrastructure teams.

As a trusted partner to product and engineering leadership, you'll build the operating rhythms and systems that keep a complex, fast-moving organization focused on what matters most. You'll lead cross-functional projects, surface insights from data, and ensure accountability across teams—all while helping scale operations in a dynamic industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain operating rhythms, business reviews, and forums that keep leadership aligned on priorities and progress
• Lead delivery of cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams and don't have a natural owner
• Support executive decision-making by framing complex issues, tracking KPIs, and identifying risks or gaps early
• Build and manage systems for reporting, roadmap coordination, and cross-team project tracking
• Partner with leadership to scope and launch new product initiatives from concept through initial execution
• Create high-impact materials including executive updates, strategic memos, and all-hands presentations
• Serve as first point of contact for inbound requests, ensuring proper triage and follow-through
• Identify operational bottlenecks and propose scalable improvements to team processes
• Leverage business intelligence and data analysis to help product managers prioritize opportunities
• Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to balance regulatory requirements with product experience

What We're Looking For

• 5–7 years of experience in Business Operations, Product Operations, Strategy, Consulting, or similar high-leverage roles with demonstrated impact
• Strong project management capabilities with proven ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations and drive 0-to-1 initiatives
• Comfort working with data: ability to interpret dashboards, KPIs, and operational/financial metrics to generate actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences, from executives to individual contributors
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong bias toward execution and follow-through
• Self-starter mentality—you proactively create roadmaps and solutions rather than waiting for direction
• Experience collaborating across product, engineering, compliance, legal, finance, and marketing functions
• Passion for cryptocurrency and financial technology innovation
• Based in or willing to work aligned with United Kingdom hours
