About the Role

As Principal AI Agent / ML Software Engineer (OCI), you will own the full lifecycle of production AI systems—from architecture and design through implementation, optimization, and operational excellence. This is a Senior Staff-level position combining deep technical execution with leadership responsibility. You'll work directly with engineering teams, product leadership, and customers to build AI platforms that scale across enterprises.

What You'll Do

• Define and implement architecture for production-grade agentic AI platforms capable of autonomous decision-making and workflow orchestration
• Lead the design of scalable inference infrastructure optimized for both latency and cost on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Build frameworks, tooling, and systems that enable enterprise teams to deploy AI agents reliably in production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust, maintainable ML engineering solutions
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on AI/ML best practices, architecture patterns, and operational excellence
• Conduct technical design reviews, architecture assessments, and capability roadmap planning for AI initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Deep expertise in machine learning, large language models, and AI agent design patterns
• Proven experience designing and operating production ML systems at scale
• Strong background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (particularly OCI), and scalable software engineering
• Expert-level programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages used in ML/AI systems
• Track record of technical leadership, architecture design, and building high-performing engineering teams
• Understanding of autonomous workflows, prompt engineering, and emerging agentic AI frameworks
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
