Pre-Litigation Case Manager Team Lead, Mississippi

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential personal injury law firm seeking a Pre-Litigation Case Manager Team Lead to supervise case management operations and drive pre-litigation cases toward successful settlement. This is a fully remote position for candidates based in Mississippi.

This role combines hands-on case management with team leadership. You'll supervise 3–5 case managers while maintaining your own caseload of approximately 50 higher-value pre-litigation matters. You'll own medical management metrics, case velocity, and settlement value outcomes—ensuring cases move efficiently through investigation, documentation, and demand preparation phases.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of 3–5 pre-litigation case managers, assigning workloads and providing day-to-day coaching
• Monitor MRI rates, advanced treatment progression, and case velocity to ensure cases meet value targets relative to policy limits
• Oversee medical record collection, liability documentation, and case file completeness prior to attorney review
• Handle client and provider escalations, resolving issues before they reach senior leadership
• Use dashboards and reporting tools to track team KPIs, identify performance gaps, and surface process improvements
• Lead onboarding and training for new case managers, promoting consistency in case handling and documentation standards
• Manage a personal caseload of approximately 50 active pre-litigation cases, demonstrating full ownership over outcomes regardless of cross-departmental dependencies
• Partner with attorneys on legal direction while serving as the operational bridge between case managers and legal strategy

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 6–8 years of experience supporting personal injury pre-litigation matters across multiple states or in Mississippi
• Proven experience managing and leading a team of case managers, directing workflow and driving files toward timely settlement
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail in high-volume environments
• Experience requesting, reviewing, and summarizing medical records and bills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
• Data literacy—comfortable building or pulling reports to evaluate performance and identify operational gaps

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate
• Experience in high-volume or rapidly growing legal environments
• Familiarity with personal injury claims processes and insurance procedures
• Experience with case management software such as Filevine, Clio, or SmartAdvocate
• Comfort working in evolving systems and processes

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai has not been disclosed for this role. The original employer's range for Mississippi-based candidates was $77,500 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
