Praktikum Digital Analytics (m/w/d)| Ab September, München

Responsibilities

We are representing a digital transformation consultancy seeking a Digital Analytics Intern to join their team in München starting September. This is not a typical internship—you'll work on an emerging challenge that no textbook has solved yet: measuring visibility in AI-powered search.

As businesses shift from traditional search engines to AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode, our client is building the methodology to track this transformation. Your role will provide the data foundation for this work:

• Execute defined prompt sets across multiple AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Mode) on a regular schedule, documenting which brands and sources are cited and tracking changes over time
• Prepare SEO data for analysis using tools like Screaming Frog, Search Console exports, and competitive ranking comparisons—transforming raw data into actionable formats
• Analyze log files to verify AI crawler access (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot) and identify potential blocking issues
• Test tracking implementations to ensure events fire correctly, consent states function properly, and data remains plausible across GA4 and Google Tag Manager
• Build data foundations for monthly client reporting, learning to distinguish between metrics that drive decisions and those that simply fill slides
• Document methodology including prompt sets, definitions, and measurement limitations—creating frameworks that will continue after your internship
• Participate in team meetings, ask questions about processes, and contribute observations from your data work

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in a data, marketing, business, media, or computer science program, or demonstrable passion for digital analytics through alternative paths
• At least one relevant previous experience working with real deadlines—prior internship or working student position at an agency, consultancy, B2B company, international corporation, freelance work, or customer-facing project
• Strong attention to detail and precision in repetitive measurement tasks—accuracy is more valuable than tool certifications for this role
• Genuine curiosity about AI beyond basic usage—you've wondered where ChatGPT and Perplexity answers actually come from
• Solid Excel or Google Sheets skills with comfort handling larger datasets; exposure to SQL, GA4, or Search Console is a plus
• Ability to work independently within structure—asking clarifying questions when needed, then proceeding autonomously
• Excellent German language skills and confident English proficiency
• Availability for at least 6 months (the initial weeks are required for onboarding and learning the systems)

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: €1,800 gross per month for full-time (40 hours/week). Part-time arrangements will be prorated accordingly.
