PIM Data Cleansing Administrator (1 year fixed-term)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client in their search for a PIM Data Cleansing Administrator on a 1-year fixed-term contract in Berlin. This role sits at the intersection of data quality, system migration, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced retail environment.

Working closely with the PIM Data Cleansing Lead, you will audit, correct, and complete product data ahead of a major PIM system migration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on detail-oriented work and wants to build skills in data management and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Review and cleanse product records in the PIM system, validating attributes against defined rules and flagging items that require input from data owners
• Apply formatting and validation rules to product records, logging issues and resolutions in shared trackers to maintain full auditability
• Support PIM project activities including preparing meeting materials, task tracking, and maintaining documentation such as change logs and process instructions
• Coordinate with data owners across Merchandising, Logistics, and Compliance to request missing information and follow up on outstanding items, escalating blockers as needed
• Assist in maintaining consistent data quality practices across all product records and project workstreams

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• 1–2 years of experience in a commercial environment such as operations, admin, data, supply chain, e-commerce, or finance
• Strong Excel skills including basic formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF, COUNTIF), data validation, and structured data handling
• High attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, high-volume administrative work
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders
• Fluent English (spoken and written)

Nice-to-haves:

• Basic understanding of product data, master data, or ERP/PIM systems
• Experience with data cleansing or migration projects
• Exposure to large datasets involving thousands of rows and multiple attributes
• Interest in data quality, systems, or digital transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to spot data inconsistencies

Work Arrangement & Benefits
