Role Overview
This full-time Outlet Sous Chef-Kitchen Admin position offers the opportunity to lead kitchen operations while overseeing administrative functions. You'll manage kitchen staff, maintain quality standards, and streamline workflows—ensuring every shift runs smoothly from prep to service and beyond. This role is ideal for someone who combines culinary expertise with organizational skills and a passion for kitchen excellence.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen staff during service, coaching team members on technique, food safety, and plating standards
- Prepare and cook menu items, setting the example for quality and consistency
- Manage inventory, food ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and control costs
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Handle scheduling, timesheets, and performance feedback for kitchen personnel
- Coordinate with management on menu planning, staffing needs, and kitchen improvements
- Track kitchen metrics, equipment maintenance logs, and food cost reports
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar leadership kitchen role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure during peak service
