About the Role
As the Procurement Process Excellence Lead at Penumbra, you will drive continuous improvement throughout the procurement function. Based on-site in Alameda, this full-time position blends deep systems expertise, process design, and analytical insight to keep purchasing operations running smoothly while raising the bar on efficiency, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and refine the mechanisms, frameworks, and workflows that govern Penumbra's procurement practices.
- Develop and roll out strategies that optimize sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities.
- Surface emerging risks and trends, then translate them into practical recommendations and safeguards.
- Apply advanced knowledge of procurement systems and tools to support day-to-day operational continuity.
- Track procurement KPIs and use the data to guide ongoing improvement efforts.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to standardize processes and embed best practices across teams.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated, advanced command of procurement systems, tools, and platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of procurement KPIs and how to interpret them for decision-making.
- Proven experience identifying operational risks and trends and acting on them.
- A process-improvement mindset, with the ability to design and implement scalable mechanisms.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working across functions.
