About the Role

PATH is seeking a visionary fundraising leader for its Executive Leadership Team. As Chief Development Officer based in Los Angeles, you'll direct a 15-member department, overseeing five direct reports and managing directors across philanthropy, grants, media, and marketing functions. Your strategic vision will drive revenue growth across California while building a high-performing team culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and mission alignment.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement a comprehensive, statewide fundraising strategy that expands private revenue year over year while maintaining donor engagement from cultivation through stewardship
• Build and lead a high-performance team across individual giving, direct mail, digital fundraising, corporate partnerships, and event production
• Cultivate and close six- and seven-figure gifts from major donors throughout California
• Strengthen planned giving programs using your existing expertise and board partnerships
• Oversee annual planning, budgeting, and implementation across philanthropy, grants, communications, and marketing departments
• Champion internal and external communications that amplify PATH's brand and impact story

What We're Looking For

• Eight years of professional experience managing teams and projects in development and communications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
• Strong collaborative leadership with the ability to inspire teams and build cross-functional relationships
• Clear, persuasive communication skills for internal and external audiences
• Ethical foundation, professional integrity, and commitment to social and racial justice
• Valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and proof of insurance
• Ability to pass background screening, tuberculosis test, and drug screening
• Employment eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
