About This Position

This role will be posted for a minimum of 5 days. Reporting directly to a Nurse Manager, the Medical Assistant Supervisor (MAS) will oversee and manage a team of Medical Assistants in providing comprehensive care services within the framework of recovery care. The MAS is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care while fostering a supportive work environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor Medical Assistants to ensure they meet quality standards and provide excellent patient care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to manage integrated health services for patients.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures that support the mission and values of Coloradocoalition.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to Medical Assistants to promote professional growth and development.
• Participate in staff training and orientation programs, ensuring all team members are well-prepared for their roles.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or a related healthcare role.
• Experience supervising and managing teams in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, as well as familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
