Mandatory internship performance marketing and social media

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential direct-to-consumer brand in the consumer products space, currently experiencing rapid growth across Europe. Our client is seeking a motivated student to join their performance marketing and social media efforts as part of a mandatory university internship (Pflichtpraktikum). This is a hands-on role where you'll manage real campaigns, budgets, and brand initiatives from day one.

Responsibilities

• Plan, launch, and optimize paid advertising campaigns on Meta (Instagram and Facebook) and other digital channels, including targeting, budget allocation, A/B testing, and performance reporting
• Create and iterate on ad creatives such as short-form video, static ads, and user-generated content based on performance data
• Support media buying decisions and analyze key performance indicators including ROAS, CPA, and CTR
• Manage Instagram presence: develop content plans, schedule posts, engage with the community, and identify trending opportunities
• Source, brief, and coordinate with creators and influencers for brand collaborations
• Contribute strategic ideas for brand positioning, voice, and growth initiatives

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Currently enrolled at a university and required to complete a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum) as part of your degree program, ideally in marketing, communications, media, business, or related field
• Strong interest in performance marketing, social media, and direct-to-consumer brands
• Analytical and creative mindset with comfort working with both data and content
• Independent work style with strong ownership and clear communication skills
• Very good German and/or English language skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Meta Ads Manager or other advertising platforms
• Video editing capabilities (CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with Instagram growth, content creation, or influencer marketing
• Familiarity with Shopify or e-commerce analytics tools

Location: Berlin, hybrid working model with flexible hours
