About the Role
In this position you will partner with project development, technology, and policy teams to shape the financial strategy that drives growth of solar and energy storage solutions across the Northeast. You will lead financial analysis, support investment decisions, and ensure that financing structures align with corporate objectives while maximizing value for customers and stakeholders.What You'll Do- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for solar and storage projects, incorporating capital costs, operating expenses, incentives, and revenue streams.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses for the Solect Energy business unit.
- Evaluate potential financing options, including tax equity, debt, and partnership structures, and recommend optimal solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators and project economics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Support the preparation of investor presentations, board materials, and regulatory filings related to project finance.
- Collaborate with legal, tax, and accounting teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and incentive programs.
- Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives such as market expansion, M&A, and new product offerings.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, project finance, or financial analysis within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or power sectors.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling (Excel) and familiarity with tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
- Deep understanding of solar and storage economics, including investment tax credits, accelerated depreciation, and state‑level incentive programs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for non‑financial audiences.
- Proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑moving, deadline‑driven environment.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, legal, and commercial teams.
