Manager, Implementation

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cannabis technology client in their search for a Manager, Implementation. This leadership role combines team management, client engagement, and operational excellence to drive successful software implementations for cannabis dispensaries across North America.

You will own performance metrics including go-lives, customer satisfaction, and implementation timelines while building the operational infrastructure to support rapid growth. This is a hands-on management position where you'll coach Implementation Strategists, support clients directly through onboarding, and collaborate across multiple departments to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of Implementation Strategists, creating a collaborative environment focused on collective success and professional growth
• Take full ownership of team performance metrics including go-live completions, customer satisfaction scores, and implementation timelines
• Support clients directly during critical implementation phases to ensure smooth, high-impact onboarding experiences
• Assign accounts strategically and manage team capacity to balance workload distribution and meet client needs
• Continuously refine and optimize implementation processes to increase operational efficiency across the function
• Partner closely with Sales, Support, Customer Success, and Product teams to strengthen the complete client lifecycle
• Contribute to scaling initiatives as the Implementation team grows, including developing strategic programs and operational frameworks
• Drive accountability through measurable outcomes aligned with company objectives

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing teams toward volume-based performance metrics
• Deep hands-on experience with retail software platforms
• Retail cannabis industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong client-facing capabilities with demonstrated ability to build trust and manage complex relationships
• Effective leadership track record building, inspiring, and motivating high-performing teams
• Direct communication style balanced with empathy, able to build trust and maintain open feedback channels across teams and with clients
• Analytical mindset with structured, first-principles thinking approach to problem-solving
• Relentless focus on process improvement and achieving outcomes efficiently

Pay

Our client is targeting a starting salary of $98,000 - $115,000 based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, equity compensation, technology allowance, and flexible time off.
