Manager Digitalisierungs- und Prozessberatung (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a leading mid-market advisory firm in Germany seeking a Manager of Digitalization and Process Consulting to build and lead a new practice area focused on digital transformation in accounting and financial processes.

You will own the complete delivery of digitalization projects for mid-market clients, including:

• Leading end-to-end implementation of digital accounting systems, electronic invoicing solutions, and process automation initiatives
• Managing integrations between ERP systems, point-of-sale systems, payroll platforms, and accounting software
• Conducting process assessments to identify inefficiencies, manual workflows, and automation opportunities
• Providing ongoing support to clients transitioning to digital workflows, including training and troubleshooting
• Developing repeatable, scalable service offerings such as digitalization readiness assessments, e-invoicing implementation packages, and interface setup services
• Building revenue accountability for the practice area by identifying opportunities within the existing client base and converting consulting needs into billable engagements
• Providing technical leadership to junior team members, reviewing their client work, and developing their capabilities through real project exposure
• Participating in hiring and team expansion as the practice grows
• Establishing quality standards, documentation practices, and delivery methodologies that ensure projects are repeatable and not person-dependent

This is a true build role. You will report directly to senior leadership and shape how mid-market digitalization consulting is delivered. The natural progression leads to a Senior Manager role with full P&L responsibility for the practice.

What We're Looking For

Experience and Background

• Hands-on experience in process and systems consulting, ideally in accounting or ERP implementation roles
• Practical understanding of accounting workflows—not theoretical, but from actually implementing, migrating, or automating bookkeeping, payroll, or order-processing systems
• Track record of owning digital projects from requirements gathering through go-live and stabilization
• Experience working in consulting, system integration, or advisory firms serving mid-market clients
• Backgrounds we particularly value: ERP/accounting software consultants, implementation specialists from business software vendors, digitalization leads from advisory firms, financial process automation specialists

Skills and Approach

• Ability to translate between business requirements and technical solutions—you understand what accountants, payroll administrators, and controllers actually need and can design clean digital workflows to meet those needs
• Familiarity with digital accounting mechanics: document workflows, electronic invoicing, system interfaces, chart of accounts logic, and data migration
• Capable of productizing services—you can take one-off projects and turn them into repeatable, scalable offerings that generate recurring revenue
• Comfortable using AI tools for process analysis, documentation, data transformation, and research; you automate repetitive tasks rather than accept them as fate
• Strong client-facing communication skills; you can explain why a new process is better to skeptical business owners and bring experienced practitioners along

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: €75,000 – €84,000 base salary, with performance-based variable compensation of €20,625 – €23,100.

Compensation reflects profile strength and market scarcity within the stated range. Variable pay is quarterly, qualitatively assessed, and tied to performance against six criteria. Expected payout at strong performance is approximately 50% of the maximum variable component.
