Maintenance Technician Off shift

Prestage is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Technician for our off-shift operations in Eagle Grove, Iowa. In this hands-on role, you'll keep our facility running smoothly by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting production excellence during evening and night hours.

About This Position

As a Maintenance Technician on the off shift, you're essential to keeping Prestage's operations reliable around the clock. You'll work independently and as part of a maintenance team, responding to equipment breakdowns, performing scheduled maintenance tasks, and taking ownership of the mechanical and operational systems that power our facility. This is a full-time position based in Eagle Grove, Iowa, offering the stability of day-to-day problem-solving in a production environment.

Core Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems according to established schedules
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime
• Respond to maintenance calls during off-shift hours and prioritize urgent repairs
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and document all work completed
• Collaborate with the production team to coordinate maintenance activities and support production goals
• Inspect equipment regularly and recommend upgrades or replacements when needed
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar maintenance role
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Comfortable working off-shift hours (evenings and nights)
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency repairs when needed
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in various environments
