About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician at Reeder Management, you'll be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of our portfolio of properties in Lakewood and the surrounding Pierce County area. You'll work independently and collaboratively to ensure our properties remain in excellent condition, addressing both routine maintenance and urgent repair needs while maintaining professional standards.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical components, and appliances
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls from residents and property managers
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems; identify problems and implement effective solutions
- Maintain detailed records of completed maintenance work and material inventory
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed
- Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance issues before they escalate
- Ensure compliance with safety codes and property maintenance standards
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a related maintenance role
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical basics
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent situations
- Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, climbing, and sustained activity
