Position Summary
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance function and keep our injection moulding operations running at peak performance. You'll manage a team of maintenance technicians, oversee equipment care, and drive continuous improvements in reliability and uptime across our Johannesburg site.
Core Duties
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of scheduled and emergency repairs
- Establish and refine maintenance protocols and standard procedures for injection moulding equipment
- Plan preventive maintenance programmes to maximise equipment availability and minimise production stoppages
- Inspect machinery and production systems regularly to identify potential issues before they impact operations
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and equipment performance data
- Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements based on condition and cost analysis
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency
What We're Looking For
- Substantial supervisory experience within a manufacturing maintenance function
- Practical, hands-on expertise with injection moulding equipment and systems (essential requirement)
- Solid understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies
