Locum Tenens Opportunity in California for Pediatrician

About the Role

As a pediatrician with CompHealth, you'll deliver comprehensive primary and acute care to a diverse patient population across inpatient and outpatient settings. This position offers a defined schedule combining clinical rounds and dedicated clinic hours, allowing you to balance structured patient care with meaningful practitioner autonomy.

What You'll Do

• Conduct morning rounds from 7 am to 10 am, managing hospitalized pediatric patients and coordinating care transitions
• Provide outpatient clinic care from 10 am to 5 pm, evaluating and treating acute and chronic conditions
• Perform physical examinations, order appropriate diagnostics, and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Maintain clear communication with nursing staff, specialists, and families throughout the care process
• Document thoroughly and ensure compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards

What We're Looking For

• Medical degree (MD or DO) and valid pediatric licensure in California
• Board certification or board eligibility in pediatrics
• DEA license and appropriate clinical credentials
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a mixed patient acuity
• Professional communication skills and collaborative approach to patient care
