Lean Services Associate (Remote/Travel Required)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential construction organization seeking a Lean Services Associate to support project delivery through Lean implementation and continuous improvement practices. This is a remote position requiring extensive travel (up to 85%) across North America to support active construction projects.

Our client is an established general contractor with a strong portfolio across industrial, commercial, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors. In this role, you'll work directly with project teams to facilitate planning activities, support Lean training initiatives, and coach teams in adopting best practices such as the Last Planner System.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean implementation activities on construction projects under guidance from senior Lean leadership
• Assist project teams with early planning cycles and coach them as they develop ownership of planning routines
• Deliver introductory Lean and Last Planner System training to project personnel
• Prepare project-specific training materials and learning activities
• Coach project teams in applying Last Planner System behaviors and planning practices
• Reinforce planning discipline and commitment reliability across project teams
• Support Team Health Survey setup, data collection, and documentation
• Assist with retrospectives by capturing action items and improvement themes
• Support preparation and logistics for partnering sessions, collaborative design workshops, and team alignment meetings
• Provide feedback on Lean tools, templates, and process materials
• Support pilot testing of new tools and continuous improvement processes
• Travel extensively to project sites across North America for extended periods

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience implementing Lean practices on construction projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of Lean philosophy and Last Planner System purpose preferred
• Familiarity with Touchplan or other Last Planner System management tools preferred
• Experience in collaborative planning and facilitation environments preferred
• Knowledge of CPM/Last Planner System integration preferred
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills with the ability to influence project teams
• Willingness to travel up to 85% to project locations across North America for extended periods
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Project Managers, Superintendents, and trade partners
