Lead Technical Recruiter

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization building next-generation productivity applications. Our client is seeking a Lead Technical Recruiter to drive critical technical hiring and elevate their recruiting function during a period of significant growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll own the most challenging technical searches while building recruiting excellence across the team. You'll work directly with engineering leadership to attract world-class AI/ML and engineering talent in highly competitive markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization's highest-priority technical searches across AI/ML, engineering leadership, backend, infrastructure, web and mobile roles
• Develop and execute search strategies and talent maps for scarce technical talent across global AI and engineering markets
• Personally source, engage, assess and close senior and difficult-to-hire candidates through direct outreach and headhunting
• Establish and maintain high standards for technical profile assessment, ensuring deep evaluation of candidates' actual work, technical depth and role fit
• Partner closely with engineering leadership to define hiring profiles, calibrate interview standards and diagnose recruiting funnel challenges
• Coach and develop technical recruiters on sourcing strategy, profile assessment, candidate engagement and closing techniques
• Analyze pipeline quality and recruiting metrics, identify bottlenecks and adapt strategies to improve outcomes
• Build repeatable recruiting practices and systems that support quality and speed as the organization scales

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 7+ years of technical recruiting experience with significant ownership of senior and complex engineering searches
• Proven track record hiring high-quality engineers through direct sourcing and headhunting methods
• Deep familiarity with technical talent markets and strong understanding of software engineering and AI/ML profiles
• Ability to distinguish exceptional technical work from strong personal branding, impressive titles or keyword-optimized resumes
• Experience partnering directly with senior engineering leaders on hiring strategy and interview calibration
• Demonstrated success coaching recruiters and elevating the quality of their sourcing and assessment work
• Strong judgement, sense of urgency and commitment to remaining hands-on in execution

Preferred:

• Experience building or leading technical recruiting at an AI company or high-growth technology startup
• Established networks across AI/ML and engineering communities
• Experience hiring across multiple markets including the US, Europe and Asia
