About the Role
Propel Schools operates the largest and fastest-growing charter school network in Pennsylvania, with multiple campuses throughout Allegheny County. We're seeking an experienced Lead Custodian to oversee facilities operations at Propel East, managing custodial staff and maintaining a clean, safe learning environment. You'll coordinate daily maintenance and cleaning activities while ensuring our campus meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and schedule custodial team members to ensure efficient daily operations
- Perform custodial and maintenance tasks including cleaning, grounds care, and equipment management
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, materials, and equipment
- Inspect facilities regularly to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Train custodial staff on procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation
- Report and coordinate maintenance issues and repairs with appropriate vendors
- Support school events and special projects in collaboration with administration
