Join Lindale ISD as a Jr High Para/Boys Coach at Lindale Jr. High, where you'll support student success both in the classroom and on the athletic field. This is a full-time opportunity to make a direct impact on young athletes and learners in our community.
About the Role
As a Jr High Para/Boys Coach, you'll serve as a key member of both the instructional and athletic teams at Lindale Jr. High. You'll divide your time between classroom support and coaching responsibilities, helping develop student-athletes in academics and athletics while contributing to a positive school culture that values growth, discipline, and teamwork.
What You'll Do
- Assist classroom teachers with daily instruction, student support, and classroom management under the teacher's direction
- Support students with academics, including one-on-one help and small group instruction as needed
- Coach and mentor boys in athletic activities, focusing on skill development, sportsmanship, and fitness
- Work alongside head coaches to implement practice plans, manage equipment, and ensure safe training conditions
- Supervise students during practices and competitions, maintaining a positive and encouraging environment
- Monitor student behavior and performance in both classroom and athletic settings
- Communicate with parents, coaches, and teachers about student progress and needs
- Support the overall mission and values of Lindale ISD and the athletic program
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with middle school students in an educational or athletic setting
- Strong interest in coaching and developing young athletes
- Knowledge of boys athletics and ability to teach fundamental skills and game strategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to participate actively in practices and coaching activities
- Commitment to supporting student academic success and positive behavior
- Flexibility to work school schedules plus after-school practice and game times
