About the Role
As an Instructional Assistant in our special education resource program, you'll work directly with classroom teachers to deliver targeted academic and behavioral support. This part-time role spans the 176-day school calendar.
What You'll Do
- Assist teachers in delivering instruction to individual students and small groups across special education resource settings
- Implement instructional strategies under teacher guidance to reinforce lessons and support skill development
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and supervisors on learning outcomes
- Support classroom management and create inclusive, supportive learning environments
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to adapt materials and instructional approaches for diverse learners
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the school
