We are representing a confidential public sector organization in Munich seeking an IT Systems Administrator (m/w/d) to join their infrastructure team. Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and optimize Linux and Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services
• Administer VMware vSphere virtualization platforms, storage systems, and backup/disaster recovery solutions using enterprise tools
• Configure and monitor LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure alongside firewalls and network components
• Ensure availability and security of IT infrastructure through monitoring, patch management, error analysis, and appropriate security measures
• Improve and standardize IT processes, maintain technical documentation, and manage software licensing

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training as IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration), IT Systems Technician, or degree in Computer Science/Informatics
• Ideally, several years of professional experience as IT Systems Administrator, Systems Administrator, or Network Administrator
• Strong practical experience with Linux and Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, and storage/backup solutions
• Knowledge of network administration, firewalls, VPN, WLAN, and familiarity with container and cloud technologies such as Kubernetes is desirable
• Structured, solution-oriented working style with initiative and team collaboration skills
• Fluent German and English language proficiency required
