IT Support Engineer

We are representing a confidential fintech client seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their London office. This role offers the opportunity to be the face of IT operations across EMEA, supporting a dynamic international team with cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote IT support for employees and contractors across the EMEA region
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows and Apple devices, macOS, iOS, and common enterprise applications
• Deliver AV support for meeting rooms, company events, and office technology infrastructure
• Lead weekly new hire IT onboarding sessions, ensuring smooth setup of equipment and accounts
• Manage offboarding processes including laptop recovery and device refreshing for assigned regions
• Perform basic administration of SaaS applications including Google Workspace, Slack, Okta, and collaboration tools
• Create clear, concise documentation and knowledge base articles for common support issues
• Serve as technical liaison for other IT teams, providing on-site troubleshooting assistance
• Triage and prioritize support requests, escalating complex issues appropriately
• Support office moves, buildouts, and infrastructure projects as needed
• Participate in flexible on-call rotation and support occasional after-hours events

What We're Looking For

• Exceptional customer service skills with patience and empathy in time-sensitive situations
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proven experience supporting macOS environments (required)
• Strong documentation capabilities with attention to detail
• Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace, Okta, Confluence, JIRA, and Zoom
• Proficiency with Slack for efficient technical communication
• Prior experience in international organizations with distributed teams
• Strong foundational troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software
• Intermediate networking knowledge including WiFi, DNS, and office network fundamentals
• Background in high-growth tech companies with matrix reporting structures
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands effectively
• Hospitality or customer-focused experience highly valued
• Flexibility to support events and infrastructure upgrades outside standard hours when needed
• Physical ability to lift and move IT hardware including monitors and basic server equipment
