Internship Purchasing Support – CTBC

Continental is hiring a Full Time Purchasing Support Intern available to work remotely from our Timișoara operations in Romania. This internship provides direct exposure to procurement functions within one of Europe's most dynamic automotive and industrial supply companies.

Role Overview

You'll join our purchasing department and contribute meaningfully to day-to-day procurement activities. This internship bridges classroom learning and real supply chain experience, where you'll support experienced buyers and coordinators on projects that matter to Continental's global operations. You'll develop practical expertise in vendor management, order administration, and procurement analysis whilst working within a collaborative, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and monitor order status through our procurement management systems
• Support vendor relations and maintain accurate supplier information records
• Prepare and review purchasing documentation, including requisitions, confirmations, and receipts
• Conduct supplier research and comparative analysis for materials and services
• Assist in compiling purchasing reports and monitor procurement performance indicators
• Collaborate across departments to clarify purchasing needs and requirements
• Identify and support efficiency opportunities within purchasing workflows

What We're Looking For

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline
• Organised approach with strong attention to accuracy and detail
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Clear, confident English communication abilities
• Genuine interest in procurement, supply chain operations, and purchasing systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic setting
• Self-directed attitude with genuine enthusiasm for contributing to team outcomes
