Responsibilities

• Perform virtual residential inspections and plan reviews in licensed disciplines (building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical) using video, photos, and digital submissions
• Identify defects, hazards, inconsistencies, or non-compliance issues in accordance with the Florida Building Code and applicable regulations
• Accurately document inspection findings using approved reporting systems and communication channels
• Communicate inspection results, required corrections, and professional recommendations to contractors, building owners, and internal teams
• Advise stakeholders on code violations and compliance pathways
• Provide technical guidance and support to inspection team members relating to field challenges
• Participate in cross-training initiatives to broaden technical knowledge and enhance team performance
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the inspection process
• Maintain current knowledge of jurisdictional requirements and Florida Building Code updates

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Active State of Florida Residential Inspector License in one or more disciplines: Building (BN), Electrical (EN), Mechanical (MN), and/or Plumbing (PN) - required
• Active International Code Council Certification (ICC) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in residential or commercial inspections, construction, and/or plan reviews
• Strong working knowledge of the Florida Building Code and applicable jurisdictional requirements
• Experience with virtual or remote inspections strongly preferred
• Ability to accurately interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet inspection turnaround deadlines
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with internal teams
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional remote workspace
• Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and continuous learning
