Industrial Electrician – Retention Bonus Available – 2nd Shift – East Peoria Undercarriage BB

Caterpillar is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician for our East Peoria Undercarriage facility in Edgewater Terrace, Peoria County. This is a part-time position on the second shift, and we're offering a retention bonus to the right candidate who joins our operations team.

About the Role

As an Industrial Electrician at Caterpillar's East Peoria location, you'll play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly. This role focuses on the electrical systems and infrastructure that power our undercarriage production. Working during the second shift, you'll be part of a dedicated team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in our facility.

What You'll Do

• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical equipment, wiring, and systems throughout the facility
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems using specialized testing equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, control systems, and power distribution networks
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Follow established lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols to ensure workplace safety
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and production delays
• Repair or replace damaged electrical components and equipment as needed
• Document maintenance activities and report findings to supervisors

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license
• Journeyman electrician license or equivalent demonstrated electrical experience
• Ability to obtain necessary safety certifications and comply with OSHA standards
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics and blueprints
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces with proper safety equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and commitment to the second shift schedule
