About the Role

Caterpillar's Technology, Digital and Data division is seeking a skilled Visualization Engineer to design and deploy data visualization platforms. Your work will make intricate information accessible and intuitive, supporting decision-makers who drive innovation and operational excellence across our business.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop data visualization applications and interactive dashboards that communicate complex information effectively
• Work with product teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into compelling visual solutions
• Implement and optimize visualization frameworks, libraries, and tools within our technical infrastructure
• Ensure performance, accessibility, and usability across visualization platforms serving diverse audiences
• Collaborate on code reviews, architecture decisions, and technical best practices for visualization systems
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing within the engineering organization

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience building or maintaining data visualization systems, applications, or tools
• Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles
• Working knowledge of visualization libraries, frameworks, or technologies
• Ability to develop clean, maintainable code in one or more programming languages
• Experience handling large-scale data or complex data pipelines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Skill in communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience also considered
