Income Auditor (Part Time)

Big Bear Mountain Resort is hiring a Part-Time Income Auditor to join our finance team in Big Bear Lake, San Bernardino County. This position offers flexible scheduling in a year-round alpine resort environment where you'll help maintain the financial integrity of one of Southern California's premier mountain destinations.

About the Role

As an Income Auditor, you will play an important role in reviewing and verifying financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Working part-time in Big Bear Lake, you'll have the flexibility to balance this role with other commitments while contributing meaningfully to our resort's operational success. Big Bear Mountain Resort operates year-round across our three mountains, requiring consistent financial oversight and audit support.

What You'll Do

• Review income records, transactions, and financial statements for completeness and accuracy
• Verify revenue entries against supporting documentation and accounting systems
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies or irregularities
• Prepare audit reports and document findings in clear, organized formats
• Ensure financial records comply with applicable accounting standards and internal policies
• Support the finance team with data entry, record maintenance, and periodic financial reviews
• Communicate findings and recommendations to management and accounting staff

What We're Looking For

• Experience in financial auditing, accounting, or related income verification roles
• Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial analysis tools
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing numerical data
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time schedule
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and audit procedures
• Professional communication skills and ability to document findings clearly
• High school diploma or equivalent; accounting certifications or college coursework preferred
